... we've entered September. Almost typed 'entered into' but it's not necessary as 'entered' already means 'going into' and hence 'into' is redundant. Just like 'bounced back', 'reverse back', 'green in colour', 'add an additional', etc...

Anyways, it's September tomorrow. Time and days are just swooshing by so quickly.. I've used the following song title by Green Day somewhere in my posts before:

"Wake me up when September ends"

At the rate days are flying, I don't think I have that much time to even snooze at all.

Ramblings of a post-long weekend

August 2012 is a super jam-packed month. And I'm already saying this when the month is yet to be over haha.. programmes every weekend and even weekdays! But I'm not complaining hee.

Been on a gastronomic exploration well, more than ever, recently especially for breakfast! I looooove big breakfasts on weekends. Though my choice is always the same - Eggs, sausages, potatoes, eggs, eggs, and eggs. There are sooo many quirky and quaint cafes in Singapore nowadays and each has its own to offer! Simply love eating and then nua-ing at such cafes, watching the world and time go by.

At the rate I am eating, I need to work out more! Speaking of which, I've bought spanking new and super chio shoes for my vball, badminton, running, etc:

Tadah!! Super like them! Though my running shoes look red in the picture, but it's actually hot pink! And though my court shoes are white, I think they are super stylo haha! Small snippet, I went to Queensway to shop on Tues and the very next day, my old track shoes decided to fall apart. I was like "Why didn't you spoil earlier!? GRrr..." So I had to make another trip. -_-" But it was worth it =D

Just a little ramble and back to work now!

One Second Chance

Was talking to a buddy earlier and we spoke about a second chance that he was granted and working things out now. Am very happy for him, though I said it's a good and yet a bad thing. Erasing everything and starting all over with a blank piece of paper ain't easy at all but then again, how many times in life do you get a second chance?

That got me thinking of course, and came out with the picture above. If you are given a second chance for just one thing/matter, what would you choose to do with it?

Being an audience on the floor as well, I'm asking myself hard. My definition of a second chance allows me to change an action/decision and ultimately, kill 'If Only'. BUT. I was gonna type another point when I stopped. And that is, "Change things for the better / Retrieve the lost (and for some, to lose that something you wished you never had instead)." - A second chance doesn't guarantee you better endings. In the course of change one could, of course, achieve this but that will also depend on whether fate and destiny choose to be your angels or saboteurs. And while you are putting in all the effort you could, do not assume all else is ceteris paribus.

There is no right or wrong answer. For Yours Truly, I guess learning from the past is of utmost importance and not to bite the dust again. A second chance is hard to come by, but when it does, be sure to cherish it. And perhaps make friends with fate and destiny haha. =) 

It's been a long, long while...

It's like I've walked into a room full of dust, cobwebs and covered furniture. A room full of memories and thoughts but all seemingly lifeless and dead. It's been a long, long while indeed. Much have happened; a long learning, exploring and discovery process full of rollercoaster emotions and new memories, but no point putting them into words anymore. I've learnt a great, great deal about myself and most importantly, about being happy.

OK! Enough of the drama opening! Hahaha!

580 days later, I am hereby bringing life back to my min-boggling room! Removed the waaay outdated picture and tried out the new templates. As you might already know, I seriously lack in the art/design department, hence make to do with it for now. I can't promise regular postings like before but well if you are still reading my humble blog, thank you!

Walk into 2011 with Me

2010... has been an awful awful drag and wait.

It's weird that after the burst of excitement upon getting the news, the flame died down quite a bit (maybe lots of shit to kiok? 舍不得 my friends, etc.) during the past 2 weeks.. but now that it's getting nearer and nearer, it will probably shoot up again very soon.

I'd spent the longest time ever to get a job.. been to countless interviews, spent (I dare say) 80% of my leave on them and all ended up with false hopes and major disappointment. Was asked 'how's your interview' till I also damn paiseh. Dragged myself to work everyday, worse when I have to go to Senoko from Bedok.. Tired, listless and totally unmotivated. Never felt so bad before, to the extent that I was like in a state of depression. Each time I see/hear my name in emails or whatever, I really hated my name so much. The surge of instant irritation, frustration and even anger, I can't describe. I guess you could sense some from my previous posts too...

This in turn, have affected myself a lot.. including 很多无辜的受害者 around me. A very bad thing is, I don't leave these in office.. weekends I might be better but it's like there's an an auto-mode setting on me on Sunday evenings weekly - Pre-Monday Blues. Then During, then Post. Never-ending. I get insomia all the time too, which is like adding oil to fire. My colleague congratulated me and said she welcome the old Miss Sunshine @ Somerset back. Yes, that was my old nickname... hard to believe, even for myself.

I'm sorry for affecting you in one (or many) way(s) or another, be it my whinings, complains or sian-ness via msn, emails, calls or face-to-face. They were totally uncalled for.. And thank you for all the cheer-ups and support that you've given me...

BUT!! The dreadful days are over, I promise you. I won't know what the new job entails, but at least I'm all ready and eager to face it. It's definitely gonna be more challenging and exciting, for sure. A bit of teaser.. I've gotten news that I might be sent to dxb for a convention. Already. =p

After the rain comes sunshine and rainbow. Walk with me into a happy and exciting 2011.

Finally Found.

I am typing this on 29 Nov, but can only publish it today.

After a whole bloody painful year, I can finally end my search. On 29 Nov morning when I received the call, I was in a total shock and had totally no idea how to react. It's like having a non-stop and no-need-money fireworks display in my heart and brain; It's like you've been yearning for something so badly for so long, and finally when it's placed in your hands, you don't even dare to believe and hold it. It was such a fast process too... 1st interview on 24 Nov, 2nd on 26 Nov and voila!

Next, after the fireworks finally subsided, comes the flooding of practical thoughts. A new beginning, a brand new hope. Having to leave all I have established here, all my sistas, brothers, and uncles. Wah, just typing the previous line makes me wanna tear liao.. when the day comes, I'm sure to rain buckets. See, Uncle KH just came and passed me a curry puff bought specially for me, coz he knows I like it. I'm gonna miss his naggings and noise so much.

I've worn the shoes to take the huge step out, now what lies ahead, is the path that I'm gonna go through. A crawl, a stroll, a sprint? The new environment, colleagues, boss, etc... No idea... But these are the least of my thoughts now. I am so looking forward to it.

Birthday Celebration 之 Up in the Mountains

As usual, Uncle KH busied himself with the planning for the December babies (3 of us, 1-4-7). During lunch, we had these:

The stew duck was prepared by my colleague's wife, who is a very very good cook. It's yummy as usual.

Simple, but very special. I don't need an extravagant affair, it's the company that counts.

Birthday Celebration 2010 之 Dracula Slaying Night

Had my first bday dinner on 28 Nov. Had dinner @ Mad for Garlic. Initial thought was 'not-v-keen', coz I'm not a fan of garlic but well, since I've never tried before and my friends planned for me already, I'll definitely go for it.

The restaurant is kindda hidden in a corner (it's actually beside TopShop but you'll probably just walk past it) and the interior is kindda posh actually. Blackish, so me haha. And so paiseh, I casually said everyone should wear black, in the end I'm the only one not wearing it hee. Prices are reasonable, and food is not bad. Had Dracula Killer for starter:

You are supposed to mash the garlic on the bread. Scary, but actually quite fragrant. Not as garlicky as I thought. Rest of the dishes we ordered are below. Not difficult to guess which one was mine. My Sandwich cake! Next, went to Paulaner where I was treated to 1-Litre of beer.. which actually kept me awake the whole night after that. Thanks Guys & Gals for the nice Dinner & Drinks nite! Really appreciate it. =)

Well, nothing is planned yet, I just hope to have a nice long weekend as usual. I need the break, and I think I deserve it. And all I want for my bday dinner this year is my mum's home-cooked meal.
