Today (27 July 07) a few of us met up to go to (quote-en-quote Mr Anything) "KNN far" NTU for Vin's and admittedly-accidentally a few of our frens' convocation. Well, we were embarrassingly and yet happily surprised that it wasn't only Vin who's graduating that nite heh heh...
First we realised it was D-rence's as well... then WJ, then Miss Muchacha, then Izac and then ZY haha! Paiseh lah, we really didn't know mah... but important thing is that we were present nonetheless hee..
Heng Zns was there, so we need not travel all the way back via public transport. A lot of changes at Boon Lay; the whole bus interchange was 'transferred' to the other side. And I actually sorta lost my way in NTU coz of the new building when i was supposed to 'lead the way' haha... my own Uni! -_-"

清舅... 你好吗?
I thought of this entry ages ago...but decided to wait till nearer the date before I post it up... and its difficult to write, with emotions building up each time i try to, even now...
清舅 left us on 23 July 2005... its traumatic to witness a loved one breathe his last, in such a painful way... 好心酸, 好心痛...
Am very close to my maternal uncles, especially 清舅 and 华舅. During childhood days, these 2 uncles would play hide-n-seek, block catching, lights-off-瞎眼猫, etc. with us 4 ninja turtles, bring us to our then-heaven, FunWorld @ Parkway, playgrounds, parks and so on. Then when we got older, we moved on to karaoke and mahjong. Whenever he's at my place, he would try to break my Minesweeper records. All of us could connect and bond with each other totally, despite the age gaps. He brought me to watch a movie when I was very young... Can't remember why I was deposited at my grandma's place and he wasn't working that day. Bought me a new dress and it was a 武打片 if I didn't remember wrongly. At the end of the day I fell sick and he took me to see doc.
Will never never forget the horrible Boxing Day 2002, when I brought Ah Ma up to my Woodlands flat... Was going through bad times at home then. When we reached my doorstep, 华舅 was the 1st to come to receive us. Was aware then, that 华舅 was in the know of the going-ons, so i was already feeling very relieved to see him. Then 清舅 stood up from where he was sitting and appeared right behind 华舅.. I totally burst into tears... didn't expect to see him at all but I was so so so glad that he was there too and that they were there for us and to take over the situation. This scene is deeply etched in my mind... kept replaying itself...
清舅 fell sick and was diagnosed with cancer in 2004. Was almost back to normal when he had a relapse. Went to visit him in the hospital as much as I can, almost everyday after work... Then it happened swiftly...
It was a 海葬... During 23 July last year, we were at Fisherman's Village... with a mug of beer and a burning cigarette on an empty seat. Will probably do the same every year..

The Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour 07
Watched the 2nd show (14 July) with my colleagues...the indoor stadium was full to the brim!
Boy, 张学友 is THE VOICE... finally get to 'witness' his vocal power and 招牌动作. And he can groove better than I expected! Started with a few dancey numbers, followed by some 金典s such as <<一千个伤心的理由>> and <<一路上有你>>... He asked us if we wanted him to speak in cantonese or chinese, and the crowd's answer as unanimous... so cantonese it was, and he talked to us about what happened in his life in the past few years... dedicated and sang songs to his daughters and wife, and then to his good friends Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung. The whole arena 遁时间 became somber, slient and 感伤; lost in Jacky's tribute song <<给朋友>> which he penned for them...almost teared at this line " 我到家了, 你呢?"... Bet you guys din noe that huh heh...
Then he sang some 口水歌s such as a nice remixed version of <<明天我要嫁给你>>, <<天黑黑>> and <<爱如潮水>>. The pleasant surprise was the 穿插 of the exec-summary of <<雪狼湖>>... and later <<如果这就是爱>>... damn strong vocals! More fast numbers and 金典s next, such as <<吻别>>, <<每天爱你多一些>>, <<情书>>, <<爱是永恒>>, <<我等到花儿也谢了>>, <<心如刀割>>, <<我真的受伤了>> - (my fave!) and many many more... concert started at 8.30pm and ended around 11.50pm...the 1st show ended at 12.30am though... drats!
The nite ended with <<祝福>> as expected... overall, it was very very worth the $168 ticket... Next up is Aaron Kwok's concert on 1st Sept. Anyone interested? =)

Rookie Bowler's Self-Mental Battle
Somehow I just can't play well when it comes to competitions, even with my team-mates who are all so pro. Happened during the games last year, during the selections early this year and it is still happening. Get so damn demoralised each time.
Every training session is about un-learning and re-learning, and after every session I play differently. Diff starting board, diff target point, diff arrows, etc. Correcting this, correcting that, then today, to my horror, I realised I've been throwing the ball wrongly all along. While I'm doing these corrections, my scores bungee-jumped along with my morale.
I jolly well knows that's the way it goes and I am glad that I'm given a chance to go through these training. Have to learn to play under pressure, incorporate the things I've learnt and to battle with my mental-self. This is what I like and I will cherish this opportunity to absorb as much as I can and improve.

Bz Bz Bzzzzz....
Been so damn bz lately... prob the bziest period that I'm going through ever since I joined CG...OT almost everyday and its work non-stop once i plonk down onto my seat. Food Fest is going full-swing and our very own chef awards had just 圆满成功, 风光落幕. Lots of planning and coordination involved, some shit here and there but am very very happy that in the end it went pretty well and we garnered quite a lot of media attention - was on Prime Time News on Ch5, 8 & U, and on major papers and magazines as well. Now then I realised how important and crucial media-relations are. Overall, my 满足感 is achieved...Finally have something big-scale to show that we have been and are still trying our very best to create higher brand awareness to the people (even 自己人) whom have been doubting us...though crap are still mouthed here and there... NATOS! If you think you are so smart, my position is always there for you.
Next up, client luncheons at the winning restaurants... and some more projects in the pipeline (ehh, how apt haha)... more rounds of madness but I guess these are the things that keeps me going and making my stay more worthwhile...

Happy Marriage Ms Bao & TS!!
After 9years+ of togetherness, Ms Bao finally became Mrs Koh on 1 July 2007! The day started real real early, we reached her place at 430am...basically did not sleep at all since I attended another wedding dinner the nite b4. Ms Bao had 10 姐妹s, coz B, Da, Law n Ming were included too haha... All of us dressed to the white-yellow-gold theme. Most of us were amateurs, but I think we did a pretty good job in the gate-crashing session hee... the Nutella session where we created Mr Nippleman, The Bra-thers, Ball-in-pants and Stayin' Alive Afro-nerd at the door..
Proceeded to TS' house, then to our alma mater - GVSS Sec - where it all began for Ms Bao & TS and of coz, our 14 years (n counting) of frenship. We reminisced the good o' times in our classrooms, took silly photos at the quadrangle and the compound where we hung out and played vball practically everyday after school, etc. Brought back such fond memories! Heard the principal is gonna put a photo of the wedding couple in school.. sooooo nice!
Went back to Ms Bao's place and then to TS' place again... by then, all of us were zombified. The brothers were already sleeping openly on the sofa. Went home and managed to catch some sleep, then B picked us up to go to M Hotel. For the 1st time, all of us attended a wedding dinner together and nicely decked out (we did a frantic search for dresses and stuff lor). We flipped out during the hilarious montage haha! Then me and Tek teared when Ms Bao marched in.. goosebumping even while typing this! Dinner was not bad and we sent well-wishes over sms which would appear on the screen on-stage. The emcee kindda kena terrorised by us haha... TS got 灌醉 by the brothers and us after dinner. He was so dead drunk, hope we didn't spoil their nuptial nite hee...
To my dearest Ms Bao, am very very happy for you...May you & TS be happy, loving and blissful forever!! If TS dares to bully you, your 1 n ONLY gang will be here for you!!
