Santa Came..and Went (Even Faster)

Xmas Eve:

It was an unofficial half day and we had a mini-party in office. In true CG fashion, there'll always be lotsa food and fruits, though we minus-ed the roast duck this year (which will prob re-appear during NYE). Here's half of the spread and our professional turkey-cutter.

Went back and rested for a while, and then went to a fren's place for our Pyjamas Xmas Celebration. As usual, only the girls were on and wore pyjamas... though No.10 was in his overseas pyjamas - track pants & singlet. Dinner was a simple buffet spread which we had ordered earlier. Had a gift exchange as well... well there are bound to be some hit and misses... so some went home happy while the rest just had to blame their luck. Highlight of the night was definitely Guitar Hero haha... it's fun! My fren had the drum set and microphone as well, so we took turns to 搞 band.

Xmas day itself was nothing much. If u ask me, Xmas day was the 'silent nite' instead. Didn't do anything much, stayed in and rest, watch tv, etc. Watched Sherlock Holmes at nite... quite nice though a little over-the-top. His intelligence and wit was just not human. But overall, worth watching and there's gonna be a sequel for sure.

The rest of the weekend was like any others... watched 刺陵. Director 朱's movie is STILL as 无厘头 as ever, the whole show simply made NO SENSE at all. Lousy story line too. And doesn't mean you have a 姓周的 and a 姓林的 as main cast means its a great show. The former still can't show expressions for nuts and the latter is still a 花瓶. I was very angry while watching the show, coz this pair of lesbians beside me were talking non-stop throughout the show. I already turned and stare at them many times, they'll stop, and then resume. Come to think of it, i should have just not lun-ed and blasted them instead. Damn.

Overall, despite that mini buay song-ness, I enjoyed my xmas long weekend. Love my gifts, esp the so-me watch from No.10. Got a singlet from phuket from my brother too. Thank you! Now looking forward to NYE... and then the Irritant's reunion (and yet farewell again) dinner on 2 Jan. =)

Santa I'm Waiting For Youuuu!!!

Woah, had a mad X'mas rush-shopping on Friday after work; zooming around frantically everywhere against time. Of coz, it was soooo crowded everywhere. Love the X'mas mood and decorations this year though... so though there were lots of bumpings, excuse me-s and squeezing, I enjoyed the shopping... Went again on Sunday to tie up some loose ends and I'm all ready! Satisfied. Smile.

Tis the Season to be Jolly Again!

It's the Quistmas Season again! My fave month of the year is already half gone. Lookin forward to Xmas now! Realised with horror I only have like 1 week to do my Xmas shopping... the woes of being banned to exile... so bloody tiring to travel to town after work, not to mention shop. Completely no idea wat to get some more.. Haven't done my Xmas tree collection this year too.

I've received this very nice and unique Xmas card from Ms Goh... Proudly displayed on the shelf in my cube now, and it has been receiving quite many admiring looks and comments so far. Thanks Babe!

Next thurs is Xmas eve and we are having a celebration in office as usual.. and then we are given half day off. Lookin forward to the long weekend! Next best thing is the following week's gonna be the same for New Year's Eve! Yippeee!!

Celebrate and enjoy the upcoming eves first, then decide what's next. Oh well.

And So I Am Finally 28...

Just like my cake says haha..

Had my 1st celebration dinner with No.10 on the 3rd at Tatsuya Japanese Restaurant @ Goodwood Park Hotel. It was quite a small restaurant but it has quite a warm ambience. We decided to try the chef's recommendation for the full-course meal which consisted of about..come to think of it, 10 dishes (!)... These are what we had:

The food was excellent, super fresh and exquisite. It was my first time trying the oyster and the sea urchin.. I must say they tasted quite nice, maybe due to its freshness. The little strip of beef cost $20 but it really melts in the mouth. Yumz! Dessert was a plate of something-melon. The bill came up to a whopping $588.50.. the most expensive meal I've had in my life.. Canot canot, we must really cap our birthday dinners at say $200 hor darling? Hee... but thanks for the wonderful dinner. Muacks. =p

Next, had a dinner with my family at a teochew restaurant @ Havelock Road... I dun have pictures of the food, but the cold crab and yam paste was nice. Then I had a very delicious tiramisu birthday cake which my sis bought (credits done. haha). Woah, realised blowing out 2 big candles and 8 small ones is not an easy feat! They should come out with a 5-year old candle.. sized somewhere between the 10-year and 1-year one..

Happy 28th Birthday to me... And in a few weeks time, I have to tell people I'm 29... -_-"

The End of November 2009

Finally... the month I've been waiting for is just a matter of hours away woohoo~~~

I had my first birthday celebration last week, in office and in true CG style. Duno what I mean? Check out the birthday celebration we had for 福禄寿 2 years ago. Well this year they had a similar celebration for a grand total of 168 years old, though they only had 1 cake. Anyway, for mine (and colleague's), we the younger generation dun have roast duck but we had 包s! Haha!


Went sentosa last Friday. Weather was beautiful till a sudden downpour in the middle of the afternoon. Played beach vball, the loser team had to 'spin' for 10 rounds and then run across the court. It was quite a sight! Haha! Heng my team lost only once out of 4 matches, as the no.of rounds increased subsequently. It was really damn giddy I tell you! Quite impossible to run straight. And its really funny to watch their seh look haha... esp someone who ran 45 degree to the left instead of going straight, totally helplessly hahaha...

Had a bbq at a fren's place on Sat nite and then went for my cousin's baby's baby shower. Then played a little bit of badminton. Its been agggggges since I played! Reminded me of my sec sch days where we played quite regularly at Tampines Sports Hall... those were the days... So today, I'm having a totally lemon-y right arm. Play vball not pain, play badminton pain. -_-"

This week's gonna be a short week! Thank goodness... on leave on thu and fri. Dun ask me why, hee. =p

Hip Hopped

Went for a community event yesterday @ the Esplanade. It was a hip hop session with a group of kids from a home... I've been looking forward to this session coz its something different from the past events we've had and hip hopping is right up my alley! It was held at this rehearsal studio and we had 2 instructors to teach us. We were assigned to a kid each and then we learnt the steps together. My kid had real good talent in dancing I think! She's about 7 or 8 years old, cute, a little chubby and dimpled. Most of these kids were sent to the home via orders from the family court due to reasons like abuse, inadequecy of their parents to take care of them, parents imprisoned, etc... heard there were cases of sexual abuse too... this is the 2nd time I've met this group of children.. felt quite 心酸 to hear some of their stories and what they've gone through, afterall they are all so young and innocent... but it felt really good when I see them having fun and laughing happily. Had a lot of fun hip hopping and it was really a good workout. You won't see me doing those steps in clubs though ha...

Back-date a bit, I enjoyed myself a lot during Mr & Mrs Anything's wedding... esp the yam sengs that we had @ our table and of coz the drinking session @ Clarke Quay after that.. it's been such a long long time since all of us were out together, be it on or off the court. Though we all have our commitments nowadays, we should really come out more often like that =) Ms Goh, if you are reading this, come back soon and we'll all go out again ok??? =p

2012 is a fantastic movie I think! Got me totally immersed in the scenes and it was really intense.. the show was 2hrs and 40 mins, but it did not feel that long at all. A lot of effects, some say too much, but you can't expect them to really blow up everything can you? -_-" GO catch it if you haven't ya.

A little tribute to the late MJ... This is late, but I think I appreciate him more when he's dead... have never liked him but after watching 'This is It', i thought he was a true superstar and I admire his dedication, professionalism and even the perfectionist in him towards his music.

Another wedding this Sat... and then 2 more to go in Dec. What a year...

The last Friday the 13th of 2009

Can't think of any other titles at the moment ha...

Contrary to the bad luck that this day supposedly brings, Today is a day to celebrate...It's the big day of Mr & Mrs Anything! Congratulations! =)

This week seemed to have whizzed past pretty quickly... Heng enuff, my big event (an awards ceremony involving govt officials, hawkers, govt agencies, media, etc.) last sat was quite a success. Was so anxious as it had been raining the past few days and mine was an outdoor event.. luckily, the weather was beautiful that morning. 98% of the planned programme went well, and I was flying around everywhere like a mad woman. After weeks of planning and coordination, my greatest satisfaction came from the happy faces of the award recipients.

After the event, I was totally stoned, but flew home to change and then flew to No.10's convocation at Raffles City Convention Centre. I was actually feeling quite weird, as I recalled my own convocation. Weird coz I can't seem to remember how it felt back then haha.. the whole scene looked so familiar yet alien...that was a good 6 years ago...

I really wish December can come faster! Yours Truly's existence-day, X'mas, NYE and most importantly, bonus!!! XD

Quite many things to celebrate recently.

1. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Vin on 30 October 09! Wishing you both eternal bliss and 'bountiful harvests'! hee.. which leads me to..

2. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Anything on 13 November 09! Similarly, wishing you both eternal bliss and 'bountiful harvests' and looking forward to the video montage and gathering with everyone again!

3. I'm promoted! Not @ work of course, but I'm now auntier.. Jin & Yi Hom has welcomed baby 宇泽 to our world! Wow... the 长佬 of the 3rd Generation of the Ninja Turtles.. (though strictly speaking is 2nd lah).. Well done!

4. No.10's convocation this Sat. Happy and proud of what he's achieved.. =)

Last nite we went to watch Kumar's show @ Hard Rock Cafe.. 1st time watching his show there, thought it starts at 1030pm, but it came on at 1130pm instead. Damn sexual, racist and vulgar as always but we really had a good laugh. Decided to stay on for the 2nd set, in the end reached home at 2+am. Had great difficulty getting up today, heng from the moment I sat down I was busy till lunch time, so no time to feel tired.. though my after-lunch effect seems to be setting in now... If only I've had more rest, if only, if only, if only.

Same Old Blogging Dilemma

When I entered my very first post, I mentioned the dilemma of publishing thoughts online, be it airing our views, voicing our feelings, sharing stories etc... there are some things that you just can't think aloud, coz you'll not know who will be reading it.

Actually, it's not just that; There's also the case where there are people whom you know will read your blog.

Which is worse? Not everything can be heck-cared.

Just Mind-Boggled. As usual.
