My dear brother is kindda depressed recently coz he thinks he's not doing well in his studies in his current J1. Feel quite 心疼 to see him like that actually...
乐, cheer up! i basically flunked all the way too and even took sub-papers to promote to J2. The F-word still continued to appear in my results in J2, rested for my A-levels (heng ar!), and then continued again even in Uni. Give yourself a little more time to adjust or have little discussion groups with your classmates and tutor - that helped me a lot. Failing sux but most importantly learn from it yah? And don't compare with the muggers - they ain't human.

Anything, Whatever.
Finally got to try the drinks. Had Anything and it was apple soda. By the way, Anything is carbonated while Whatever is non-carbonated. Some of my colleagues had cola, white-grape, jasmine tea, blackcurrant and green tea flavours. Very interesting leh, especially when you think of how they arrange their logistics and marketing mechanics - You'll never know what flavour you'll get and the advertisements which basically 大街小巷 also have, 男女老少 also know. Great branding!

Platonic RelationshiTs?
Def: Purely spiritual; free from sensual desire, esp. in a relationship between two persons of the opposite sex. ~ adapted from dictionary.com~
Do you believe in platonic relationships? Does or rather can it really exist? Big topic. Could have gone on and on for my discussion with Ming if not for the movie we were catching. Boy meets Girl; Girl meets Boy and a friendship blossoms. Ain't it as simple as that? For some, as time goes by and the 2 gets chummier, the 情素(love factor) inevitably kicks in. And what happens next? Boy likes Girl and Girl likes Boy and they lived happily ever after. The worse scenario? Boy likes Girl but Girl only treats Boy as a buddy or vice versa. And which of the following is the worst? Boy or Girl likes the other party but he or she is attached or Boy and Girl are separately attached but falls in love with each other. Either scenario would affect the friendship for the better or worse, and destroy the 'platonic mechanics' within. The 反对党 of platonic-relations will then smirk and say, "See I told you!"
Yours Truly, on the other hand, chooses to be the platonic-relations Rebel - I AM a firm (or stubborn as you might name it) believer. Why not? I'm a member of 2 big boy-girl buddy groups and our cultivated bonds within have definitely strengthened or proven my own beliefs...though intra-relationships have happened or are still happening (ha!) in my groups of boy-girl buddies before, but we still turned out fine. Been hanging out with the guys more than ever since my girlfriends went overseas to work too. Am totally comfortable hanging out with each other, sharing daily life snippets or problems, etc. So is it not possible? (Dun give me the "how you know-scarly-who-like-who thingy". Ain't gona be entertained.)
Platonic-relations are un-conclusion-able and goes on a case-by-case basis; Diff situations happen to diff people. I guess its really how friendships are operated and more so, how the situation is managed when the love factor pays a visit. Go or No Go, Maintain or 友情分裂 or in unique (by this I mean one in a mil) cases, Improve?
State your stand, make a choice and things will remain nice and simple.

榴梿忘返
Like durians? Tried these durian-flavoured dishes (will update dish-name again) at Carlton Hotel during a lunch meeting just now... They are having a Durian Promotion currently for their dinner buffet. Many durian-dishes will be featured... not as 'jelat' as you might imagine..I quite enjoyed the dishes even though I don't eat durian as a rule.
Scallops in mildly durian-flavoured sauce (weird combi but it's nice)
A variety of durian desserts - durian creme de brulee, durian pudding and durian fritter.

The Online Costume Party by Mr Anything
Came across this excellent piece of writing from Mr Anything aka my Irritants Comrade:
[Warning: NC 16 - Course and explicit language]
Having a online journal, diary, blog is a funny thing. The sheer act of having it online screams the fact that it wants to be read. Yet isn't a journal suppose to be something private? Back in the stone age where people religiously scribble their daily musing with the good'ol pen and paper, who would have thought of bringing their dairy (aka the big book of evil thoughts, gossips, hypocrisies) out in the open. Its your inner darkest secrets exposed. In the end, your journal is no longer solely yours.
Your no-hose-bar, unrestrained, blunt inner thoughts becomes restricted. Imagine being played out by a friend or whatever. Inside your head, you are in screaming rage shouting "nb, ccb, knn, fucking son of a bitch asshole" but then, you ponder again, "Crap, he reads my blog. Better leave this out of my entry." Or, when you stabbed your work colleague right smack in the back. Your inner self goes,"You stupid piece of shit, that's for taking my pencil without asking! Muhahaha...". But are you going to write that in your online blog? Of course not, stupid! Who in the hell would use his blog adversely against himself?
Ultimately, the costume party of daily life extends its claws to the online journal world. Everyone is just wearing a mask; a mask that covers your true face. A nice angelic smile hiding the evil devilish grin.
Isn't the online journal a funny thing? On one side you want to be seen, on the other side you do not want to be seen naked.
My comments:
What an interesting yet totally apt title... exactly the way I feel about blogging. I deleted a paragraph away after I published an entry too... coz the person I was referring to was pretty obvious. Somehow, sadistically, it does gives a sense of excitement and yet jitters at the same time as you do not know if the the person will eventually read it.
Well... at the end of the day, just treat it as an avenue to share news, updates, thoughts (with lotsa acronyms) or interesting stuff seen & heard with friends ba.... =)

同事, 朋友.
I have very very nice colleagues. There, I've said this without hesitation, without a single doubt. These are my group of VIPs at work and in life too.
Working in a place made up of people who basically contributed their lives and youth to the company (in another words, the older generation) has its pros and cons. However, being the youngest in my division, I definitely enjoy a higher level of pros than cons hee.. Finally I am able to feel, experience and enjoy how it is like to be the youngest, after and still (CHOY!!) being the eldest child in my family. Ain't easy to be the eldest, havin to shoulder more responsibilities, going thru what I've gone thru, etc. So! Yes, I admit sometimes I appeared spoilt and pampered. That's because I let myself go; Indulge myself in the care and concern showered upon by these Sisters & Brothers (whom I've always wished to have), Aunties and Uncles . If you think i'm rude to you, it's not that I do not respect you, that's the way me and my close peepz talk.
Who are these VIPs? @ HQ there's Purple and Snowy who are like my elder sisters; Can talk, complain, bitch and joke with them about anything and everything...they gave me a lot of advice too... though sometimes they can make me go red completely haha... FTT whom I enjoy chatting with, Rong Mo Mo who bakes and buys breakfast and gifts for me... Win who treats me like a sister, Uncle Keane who is like my buddy, someone whom I can confide in and drives me nuts and home...heh heh
Then, @ the Suburbs there's Ms Starz, my faithful bowling kaki who also buys me chocs n sweets now n then and even cooks desserts for me, 南叔, TDD, 大老鼠, 大师兄, Brother, Cptow and so on... Can proudly say that I'm one of the lucky few who can 'flutter' around so many friends during company events...when some people who are long-timers dun even noe the other exists.
To all my dear VIPs, you guys are the absolute reason that makes my life in the company so fulfilling and worthwhile, and makes me feel that I'm in a big family. Thank you and keep them coming!!! Haha...Big Hugs!!! (",)

忍功
Talk about 忍-ing... for the sake of a friend (AGAIN, 1st time for Ms Starz and now Da) I 忍-ed with this plain brain-less guy at Zouk last Wednesday. It was so damn packed and the queues for Zouk and Phuture meshed together into a super long one, all the way towards the bridge. This imbecile and his whole group of 5-6 friends slotted right beside us and stupidly assumed that the little gap in between was the last of the Zouk q. After the 2 groups infront of us plus ourselves confronted him he was still 理直气壮, then actually moved and slotted in front of someone else again. THEN to my utter disgust, he's actually Da's friend! We decided to go Butter Factory instead after sometime and they were right smacked in front of us. The loser then started telling Da wat happened earlier as if he was so damn right. Was gonna step up then decided to 忍 to give Da face. Luckily the rest of the nite was fun...
忍-ing and snapping it is just a thin line. How much is your capacity of 忍-ness? Environmental and situational factors play a part of coz, but I guess the people-factor is the biggest trigger.. some people are just un-忍-able.
Allow me. Fiery Devilette on the prowl lately haha. If you think you are right, I'm not wrong too. =)
