Can You Name The 7 Dwarves?

On the way to work this morning, my colleague asked me this question. Wah, I could only remember Dopey and Grumpy. So, googled in office and here they are!

Dopey: the youngest, sweetest, and silliest of the seven, and the only one to be completely bald and beardless; wears a too large lime green tunic and purple cap.

Grumpy: the grouchiest and most curmudgeonly of the group, though even he is supremely devoted to the beautiful Snow White; wears a red tunic, long white hair and beard.

Doc: the only one of the dwarfs to wear glasses (so presumably the most intellectual); wears an orange-brown tunic, long white hair and beard.

Happy: the most rotund of the dwarfs; wears a brownish two-tone tunic, yellow cap, long white hair and beard.

Bashful: evokes his bashful nature through a classic pose of shyness (hands clasped behind back, shoulders slightly raised, eyes upturned).

Sneezy: frequently shown with one finger underneath his nose, as if trying to stifle a sneeze; sometimes difficult to distinguish between Sleepy and Bashful; wears a yellow-brown tunic, long white hair and beard.

Sleepy: perhaps the most difficult to differentiate between Sleepy and Bashful, though he wears a perpetually sleepy looking, heavily lidded expression on his face; wears a brownish tunic, green cap, long white hair and beard.

But I prefer this!!

Fruits Day!

In a bid to promote a healthy lifestyle @ work, all staff were given a personalised box of fruits each. I thought it's very nice!

Not Everyday is Saturday

After a couple of busy months, now I'm bored again. Damn bored.

My job's momentum goes like this:

However, the x-y axes are not so evenly spaced out. It's a slow period for me now, but it's not fair to say I have nothing to do, coz my dept (3 pax, considered a dept?) is perpetually bogged with projects and we are like forced-kpos of every other dept; It's just that I have no urgent deadlines now.

Ha, if I were you, reading my blog now, I will be seriously bored by it too. The title also quite tak-link. And I might not wish that everyday is Saturday too.

@ 2am

What was I doing at 2am on 29 May?

Eat dessert. @ holland V.

Geddit?

Anyways, we checked out this dessert bar after hearing about it here and there. Quite one of a kind I would say, with the setup and ambience. We sat at the bar, though there were sofa seats to lounge about.

The menu wasn't very extensive, but it was exquisite though. And for each dessert, there is a wine recommendation to it. As usual, Yours Truly ordered the warm chocolate tart.

Verdict? Absolutely FANTASTIC. See the flowing chocolate lava? Bittersweet chocolate with a tangy spize to it. The strawberry sorbet was very nice too!

Ain't enough, we ordered another one. The Araguani H2O

This was quite special, the choc cube was actually frozen, and we were asked to wait for a while before cracking the top open with a spoon. Oh by the way, upon serving each dish, the server will explain the dessert to you, which was quite professional.

See the dots? Each dessert is craftfully decorated as a masterpiece of its own.

How it looked like when it's cracked opened.

Verdict: Nice. If you look carefully, there is a caramel core within. The white white sorbet is yummy with a slight pomelo-ish taste too.

This was a perfect sweet ending for my Saturday. Well not really but *zipped*. Watched SATC 2 which I absolutely loved. Not so much of a plot but the lines were witty and the fashion was extravagant, exaggerating and yet interesting. It was a great day (and night). =)

The Little Boat Vs The Mighty Aeroplane

Rocking to and fro in a little boat on the vast ocean
Looking at the airplane soaring across the sky above
Wondering when will my turn come
But, do I really want to be flying?
Is it really all high and mighty in the skies?

Ain't in the mood to be a poet, happened to come across this picture which was taken @ Nice.. Boliao inspiration.

About what is happening.

About what has happened.

五月.天(and 夜)

1st post of May 2010... when May is already half, eh no, almost gone.

Have been pretty busy @ work for the past few weeks... After a long period of preparation, my customer appreciation dinner was finally over and done with. It was held at the show gallery of Reflections @ Keppel Bay. Thought it was a weird place to hold a function initially, as it is after all, a 'showflat', but after recce-ing the place, it was actually quite a classy and nice place. Great view too... and if you've been to Marina Keppel Bay, it's even nicer at night. On the whole, as far as the flow and execution of the event are concerned, I'm pretty satisfied with it. The whole place was done up nicely with the ambient lightings and we brought in a 2pc live band, which also plays at Timbre. In the middle of the event, the cruise ship which was docked at the far end went pass right in front of us. Ain't sua ku, but it was actually pretty spectacular. Ain't in time to snap it though.

Took part in the JPM Run for the 4th year... Have not run at all since last year's run, really thought I would just drop dead on the track. Timing was 47.53mins this year, I'm very happy with it liao haha. As usual, Xin came over and passed me a glass of champagne. Really can't comprehend the either idiocracy or buay paiseh-ness of some people. We were at our designated tent, despite the VERY obvious exclusivity and a VERY big logo, these people still came IN and tried to take drinks and food. They were all shoo-ed away like flies by us man. The next thing we know was, just as we were leaving, some people came streaming in to help themselves to the leftovers and one auntie came very equipped with tupperware and went from tent to tent to dabao. Thumbs up to them. Middle fingers actually.

Had a talk with a friend previously, regarding the skill of closing one-eye. As usual, the min-boggled me came out with this - "To open one eye or to close one eye? Go figure. Neither is easy to master." It's not the same you know. Am not sure if it's self-denial or making life easier though. Still, go figure it out yourselves.

Somehow I think I'm becoming more n more boring and stale.

虾虾喘

For both Yours Truly's work and health.

Had a crazy week at work, out for meetings and stuffs Everyday. But, at least, it was like the 'most interesting' week that I've had for like... 6 months?

Highlights of my crazy week:

  • Photoshoot for my upcoming ads:
We had searched for in-house talents, the theme being kids this time round. So we held a mini-selection among my colleagues' kids, and shortlisted our 2 twinkle little stars. Damn cute and full of star quality. Not an easy task though... have to get them to warm up to the camera, esp for little m*gan.. needed a huge amount of coaxing from her parents... but her smile and innocent look was really so sweet and awww-inducing. For 3den, it was a breeze. Handsome and ever so camera-sensitive... we just had to keep his cheekiness in check.

Can't share the ads yet though, so watch out for them in papers and MRT stations soon. =)

  • Launch of Hawker Food Hunt 2010
3rd installment of an islandwide hunt for the best hawker food, namely cantonese porridge, bak chor mee, roti prata and yong tau foo this year. Had a soft launch of the event @ maxwell and invited some senior citizens for lunch. Lots of prep work beforehand of course. We were supposed to serve these elderly folks. Watching them tuck in happily and their hearty thank yous thereafter was really quite a 温馨的成就感.
  • My sister's convocation and a bowling competition

Attended my sis' convocation with my Mum on Friday... heng my sis turn on stage was pretty early... I was like sleeping throughout the rest of the ceremony haha.. Proud of ya! =)

Then, went home to sleep after dim sum lunch and then went for a bowling competition under my co at night. It was only when we got there then we realised it's actually a networking session by this reno contractor. My team appeared to be so unneccessarily pro. Anywayz, our scores suck but we still got in 3rd haha! Got a bluray dvd player each! Anywayz I drank so much with my colleagues, I'm don't really remember much of the journey home. Only know I was super high and talking super loudly hiak.

  • The annual 清明 Gathering

An annual gathering that I look forward to... sounds wrong eh haha. The standard routine.. setting off from Giu Giu's stall, then to Xin Ming to 'see' Grandpa and then Lim Chu Kang to 'see' Grandma... I enjoy the family time together.. though I was rather subdued and coughing a lot.. anywayz, we attracted quite a lot of attention amongst other families... coz we were practically eating together with my Grandpa... as in we were eating the food offerings on the spot! Haha! 关你们屁事... My Grandpa would probably be more than happy that we are dining together.

Then, Yours Truly got sick. Fever and more coughing upon reaching home... MC on Mon, came back to work on Tues like a ghost and polluted my office air, then almost coughed my lungs out the whole nite... Wed MC again. I tell you... my boss duno flipped how many times. Never had asthma my whole life, the doc actually said it's like a mild case of bronchitis.. Back to work today... not coughing so much already but still feel faint and breathless...

So much so for last and this week... duno wat's up next. Now, everyday to me is a ?.

Well... till next time then.
