五月.天(and 夜)

1st post of May 2010... when May is already half, eh no, almost gone.

Have been pretty busy @ work for the past few weeks... After a long period of preparation, my customer appreciation dinner was finally over and done with. It was held at the show gallery of Reflections @ Keppel Bay. Thought it was a weird place to hold a function initially, as it is after all, a 'showflat', but after recce-ing the place, it was actually quite a classy and nice place. Great view too... and if you've been to Marina Keppel Bay, it's even nicer at night. On the whole, as far as the flow and execution of the event are concerned, I'm pretty satisfied with it. The whole place was done up nicely with the ambient lightings and we brought in a 2pc live band, which also plays at Timbre. In the middle of the event, the cruise ship which was docked at the far end went pass right in front of us. Ain't sua ku, but it was actually pretty spectacular. Ain't in time to snap it though.

Took part in the JPM Run for the 4th year... Have not run at all since last year's run, really thought I would just drop dead on the track. Timing was 47.53mins this year, I'm very happy with it liao haha. As usual, Xin came over and passed me a glass of champagne. Really can't comprehend the either idiocracy or buay paiseh-ness of some people. We were at our designated tent, despite the VERY obvious exclusivity and a VERY big logo, these people still came IN and tried to take drinks and food. They were all shoo-ed away like flies by us man. The next thing we know was, just as we were leaving, some people came streaming in to help themselves to the leftovers and one auntie came very equipped with tupperware and went from tent to tent to dabao. Thumbs up to them. Middle fingers actually.

Had a talk with a friend previously, regarding the skill of closing one-eye. As usual, the min-boggled me came out with this - "To open one eye or to close one eye? Go figure. Neither is easy to master." It's not the same you know. Am not sure if it's self-denial or making life easier though. Still, go figure it out yourselves.

Somehow I think I'm becoming more n more boring and stale.
