Fuck 扬光大

A bit crude hor haha.. This title has nothing to do with this post, which is really just another of my out-of-boredom blabbling on a lagi-no-mood-to-work Friday noon. It's a 成语 that I added to my Minglish Cindictionary last nite heh.

In my flow of speech, it's very common to hear added colours of vulgarities in it, much to the amusement and not-so-amusement of those around me. Not v polite and '女人' (what the heck) lah, but to me it's just a form of added-expression. Expect a huge torrent when I'm really angry ha.. There are times where me n No.10 scold each other using vulgarities in jest, which I think adds spice to our dailies, though there were a couple of times where it got ermm... overly spicy. And hor, wana say say lah, hate it when people use abbreviations e.g. What the F... What, using abbreviations is less 'wrong' huh? Duhh...

My wisdom hurts.. the left bottom one. Gum swelled up... Siao liao. Later gonna see dentist. Can't believe all the dental clinics are so fully booked! Tried sooooo many before I finally found 1 @ Bt Batok. Hope to either calm it and hang on till I come back from my trip, or follow the 'Tick' 精神, get it over and done with. Just worried that either one will affect me while I'm overseas. 麻烦死了...

Speaking of my Trip, have been doing planning with No.10 and we are still not done yet. Lotsa things to plan and take note of. It's nice to do it together though =) The over-worked flu bug is still flying around tirelessly, hope it won't catch us... the 7-day quarantine sounds good though heh heh.

Workwise, haiz, like that lor.

"At least after you kena slapped, you will learn and will prevent from being slapped for the same reason again." - Just something I told a friend over msn seconds ago. Me myself who said this felt that this is so true. But some need many slaps before they can truly wake up. Well, then at least they still woke up. Ya noe what I'm sayin'?

Gonna attend 3 weddings in the coming 2 weeks... I've totally lost count of they are the how many-th this year already..

My last babble for now... Somehow, I just do not have a good vibe about 'it'... Duno why and dun ask me what it is... See how it goes ba..

Have a good weekend everyone. Hope we can meet up soon. Miss our mahjong sessions loads. =)

I Love My New Toy!

Heh heh... Just in case you still don't know, I've always had an interest in photography and I've wanted a DSLR for ages... SO! Knowing these and with my upcoming trip as a catalyst, No.10 bought me this camera. Now I'm learning how to use it as much as I can and the manual is my new fave book. Amateur mah... Soooo many knobs and turns to learn. Master liao then take nice pics in Europe =p. Gonna be a challenge carrying this around though. Maybe next time can go into freelance photography? Xin, consider hiring me for Dylan's party? Hee. Meet me soon and let me shoot you!

Thank you Darling!

My 4 Year-Old Birthday @ CG

Date of Birth: 15 June 2005
Suddenly I'm at a loss of words while typing haha... then the same old usual 'time flies', 'can't believe it', 'Oh My God', etc etc floated by... How about 'It's Time'?

Disgusting Diners

Had dim sum with No.10 and his family at the Red (*) restaurant on Sunday. V crowded and the queue was like never ending. Lucky for us, we had seats once we reached. I was seated near the kitchen door, where these aunties will push trolleys of fresh-out-of-the-oven dim sum out and go section to section, asking you if you want siew mai, har gao, char siew bao, etc., depending of what they have - just like those restaurants in Hong Kong.

Alas, the concept is totally destroyed by the ugly and KS behaviour of the diners. I about to dig in when I noticed there seemed to be people crowding behind my back all the time, which shouldn't be the case as only the staff will walk to and fro the kitchen. Then i realised, all the diners have crowded around the area to wait for the food trolleys! Walau! The poor aunties cannot even push the trolleys out but stay put to serve. For those who successfully went further into the restaurant, they were also swarmed by other diners. I was so disgusted! Please lah, the aunties will do their rounds, and the frequency of the trolleys are quite fast, if this trolley is emptied, the next one will come soon! These trolleys are supposed to be MOBILE. If you people like to swarm about like that, then they might as well have STALLS instead, where the aunties just have to serve over the counter! Some go to the extent of opening up the 笼 to see for themselves what's inside. Shame on you!

Da Minci Code

This post title suddenly flashed across my mind when I was in the loo... though now showing Angels & Demons, which by the way is a very good show, if you have not read the book that is. This post is really just another babbling session. What do you expect when this was conjured up on the toilet bowl heh!

Sneaked off to watch the last few minutes of American Idol Finals - The Results in our recreation room yesterday. So exciting! This was like the 1st time I actually sort of followed through the whole season. And I'm so happy Kris Allen won!!! *Glee* At the end of the day, both Adam and Kris are winners. Both are of different 音乐路线, and Adam is sure to go a long way with his superb vocals.

Heard a song over the radio this morn n I like this verse "Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you." Quite meaningful and sweet. That's the message of the song lah, of coz if yours is something horrible and yet you can't get rid of it, then too bad. You might not know, but I've been wanting to get 1 for aggggggges. Still considering though, coz its like an cannot-rub-off-ink on my skin. Though inking someone's name, esp you bf or gf's is the stupidest thing to do. But anyway what I wanted to say is maybe i will ink my child's name, if i ever have 1 in future (Don't say I might not want to have any, Heng I will not want many, otherwise my back would probably become like a class tee-shirt with all the names). Or get something like a tribal symbol or what, but I will have to find a meaning for it.

Just heard my loud, uncouth and irritating colleague yelling (he doesn't 'talk') into the phone, "eh, that Bukit Buttock job not done??" Haha... Cannot tahan and burst out laughing on strike 3. This ghost sits in the cube next to me, ain't a likeable figure in my co. V evil of me, but he looks like those tribal stone you find in sentosa. Always 飘-ing to n fro in front of my cube - unfortunately he has to pass my cube to go to the printer and he seems to has tonnes of things to print! 'Talks' damn loud and chor lor. He brought his own cordless phone to use in office! Kaoz... initially his ringtone was so bloody loud and it was the symphony of 忘情水 some more! Then we couldn't take it anymore and ganged up to tell him off. Now, its a mellow 'Edelweiss' music hee... He should feel so honoured that Yours Truly gave him this space on my blog!

I was told that I think too much. Not that its not true. Can't help it. My positivity seems too be going farther and farther in the opposite direction. Maybe have to cancel this trait off my Saggitarian list. *Cannot cannot* ...

"有些事我搞不懂, 懂了就更严重". 未必. So mind-boggling.

Happen to catch Looney Tunes on tv last Sunday. So happy! Brought back childhood memories, where we watched mountains of rented videos of these cartoons at my grandma's place. Sylvester & Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Road Runner... I went Beep Beep the whole day after that. Was just talking to my colleague about it, we both agree that nowadays the cartoons are hardly cartoon. All the animations and stuff. Victims of the advancing technology. Tsk.

Bowling competition (under company) this sunday! After a long hiatus we are finally back on the lanes... 1st practice was good, 2nd one bad, last nite so-so... Jialat, as usual, I can only warm up after like 3 games... We only have 3 games each for the comp... -_-" And I'm always damn ganjiong during such games... I will try to reverse these trends! *Positive Positive*

Perhaps all blogs should have a Tw*tter function as well. It's something like the 'message' that you place on your FB, next to your name. Your thoughts, feelings, what has happened, etc. Can access without logging in if it's on my blog. Then on n off can update the status.

不知不觉, this is a pretty long babble eh... Have a great weekend everyone! Mine will be a long and busy one ahead. Hope it'll be a happy one.

Grasshopper Right Now Concert 9 May 2009

They are finally back after 2 years and they are still damn hot! As USUAL, S'poreans take damn long to warm up... atmosphere only peaked during the last hour or so. But whatever, coz me n Shir were like constantly on our feet from the beginning, screaming away like kids haha..

Though this year we were seated farther away from the stage, we were still within the 'premier entrance' block. Best thing about Grasshopper's concert is they encourage everyone not to be seated and also to ignore the ushers standing by. And this year, seems like the ushers also don't bother trying to get us back to our seats coz nobody listens! Hee.. so by the end of the nite, me, Shir and No.10 were watching them from a few metres away from the stage. Highlight of the nite, me n Shir got to grab their hands when 蔡一智 and 苏志威 came down the stage. Can you imagine us running towards them and trying to 'touch' them amidst the mob? Haha! Too bad 蔡一杰 remained on the stage... wise choice though... coz if he'd come down, the crowd will go even more berserk.

There was a section where they paid tribute to their 师傅 Anita Mui and also 哥哥 Leslie Cheung.. kindda touching yet funny. They sang their songs and followed their dance steps, and also played the 2 stars' old music videos in the background. Then it was back to their dance party and the crowd finally got heated up. Our fave song, however, as to be <<永远爱着你>>... soooo niceeeeee, loving and romantic as always!

The concert ended at around 11pm... then we walked out and saw a group of fans at an exit waiting for Grasshopper to board the bus, so we joined in the wait as well. They were very friendly when they came out and 蔡一杰 gamely posed for pictures for the fans. Overall, great party, though I think 2007's was even better. Nonetheless, I'll be on to watch if they hit our shores again!!!

Foot-Printing

Everyday, we knowingly or unknowningly footprint on someone's life, someone's mind, someone's heart, someone's story.

From the most simple/basic to the most complicated/serious thing that you do; creating memories, impressions or even scars somewhere, somehow in someone.

Big, small, light, heavy, happy, sad, heartwarming, evil, loving, disgusting, generous, cruel, sweet, etc.

The happy ones, you would wish they are cemented on the ground and live happily forever; the sad ones created on the beach, totally wiped out upon the swish-swashing of a wave and still live happily forever.

The converse is true though. Sometimes, it's amazing how a cemented footprint can be transformed into a vulnerable one on the beach, facing the menacing waves in such a snap. While you were wondering where has all the foundation gone to, you could already have been gone with the sea.

Well, reality is such.

And I've lost my train of thoughts.

Damn.
